EV Fest
announces
EV Fest 2012 Electric Vehicle Show Toronto
's Premier Electric Vehicle Festival
Toronto, January 15, 2012 – EV Fest today announced its official show date on Sunday, September 9, 2012
at The
Pavilions, Evergreen Brickworks, 550 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, from 10AM until
5PM.
Fall 2012 marks the fourth EV Fest, a show devoted to showing OEM and Personally converted
Electric Vehicles, Hybrids, Plug-in Hybrids, eBikes, Electric
Scooters, Trikes, EV components and supplies, and now Waste Vegetable Oil Conversions. Even Solar Cars
may be seen this year.
As EV Fest 2012 offers an unprecedented show space of 27,000 Square Feet under roof in its
mandate is to become the largest show of its kind in Canada, we anticipate having up to 100 Exhibitors
attending from within, and without the Province, and outside of Canada. “Let’s face it, gas prices continue to rise and more and more people are becoming frustrated by
depending on domestic and foreign, often unstable, sources for our oil. All kinds of people visit the show,
from Designers, to Municipal Decision Makers, and Fleet Buyers, to everyone interested to see how they
can benefit from an Electric Vehicle (EV) in their life,” explains EV Fest creator, Robert Weekley. “We’re
addressing the public’s interest, openness, receptivity and thirst for knowledge.”
“EV Fest represents a natural partnership of all the EV-type vehicles currently available and a step in the right
direction for the OEM's to show off their wares to an eager and receptive public,” concludes Weekley. “Our
organizations’ goals and values are aligned - we both strive to promote the best of what’s out there to our
visitors.”
About EV Fest The first Spring Electric Vehicle Show was called "EV Show & Shine BBQ" and was released on
April 10, 2010. It was a great success considering in view of just five weeks planning. Results were studied
and the decision was made to produce another Electric Vehicle show. A name change and a new website later,
the first official ‘EV Fest’ was set for mid-Oct 2010 and with that event’s
success, www.evfest.ca was a proven defining brand. EV Fest 2011 took a new direction with it locating at the
Evergreen Brick Works; a neutral location, as such was requested by a number of the OEM’s, and had 36
Exhibitors on site with just 5 weeks planning, nearly double the previous event.
About Evergreen Brick Works Since 1991 we have been engaging Canadians in creating and sustaining dynamic outdoor spaces—in
schools, communities and homes. By deepening the connection between people and nature, and empowering
Canadians to take a hands-on approach to their urban environments, Evergreen is improving the health of our
cities—now and for the future.
EV Fest is proud to promote Canadian innovation in Electric Vehicles nationally and to the
world.
